Scores of Bahamians travelled to Rome on the Pallium pilgrimage with Roman Catholic Archbishop Patrick Pinder.  Archbishop Pinder is shown arriving at the Vatican, accompanied by Monsignor Preston Moss, the Acting Administrator of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nassau and Vatican officials.

Archbishop Lawrence Burke, now Archbishop of Kingston, but formerly of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nassau was also among those receiving the pallium.
