Diocesan Youth Conclave 2004

August 12 - 15th the Anglican Diocese held its first Diocesan Youth Conclave at the Nassau Beach Hotel in Nassau. Almost 300 youth between the ages of 13-18 from around the diocese represented their parish at the conclave under the theme: Empowered Youth Appreciating our Anglican Heritage. Speakers included Archbishop Gomez, Fr. Stephen Davies, Rev'd. Angela Palacious and Canon Basil Tynes. Christ the King was represented by, Jamaal Smith, Bryan Flowers, Shinero Kemp, Jasmine Allen. Sonovia Butler, Brendalee Bethel and Christina Ranger. They participated in small group sessions after speakers spoke on different topics, They also participated in workshops that included, Youth Group Planning, Puppetry, Dance, Praise and Worship, Serving around the Altar, Public Speaking and Drama. The highlight of the weekend was an impromptu talent show where the delegates performed their talents. Beulah Robinson and Tarran Taylor Acted as chaperones for the delegation from Christ The King.
